Order Process

Whether you custom order something special or ask to list something from this website to one of my on-line stores, my goal is to give you the personalized service you would receive if you were to come into a couture salon.

Contact me. Describe what you would like. Tell me about intended use, garment it will accessorize, formality of occasion, how you intend to wear it (eg, left or right side), "need by" deadline or particular budget.

I will email photos of what is currently in stock and/or we begin the process for determining a custom order. Photo of item emailed to you for final approval.

Then, I pack, weigh and calculate shipping. Standard packaging method includes creating a nest of tissue paper for each flower, inserting a "collar" and sealing the flower in a pleated cello bag. This flower "bubble" is then packed into a gift box which in turn is nestled into a mailing carton. This is why shipping costs may seem relatively high for such light weight items.

Need to send a gift? Yes, I can ship directly to gift recipient. Shipping tracking method required. Gift enclosure cards are available for small fee. Include your message to recipient, recipients name and address, and need-by date with your order.

Shipping Methods

I usually ship USPS Priority. Let me know if you prefer an alternative: we can compare rates for USPS Parcel Post for your zone. Insurance is required on all shipments.

International orders are welcomed. Buyer is responsible for any customs/duty fees. Please provide mailing address so I may quote estimated delivery charges before placing your order.

Payment Options

Then you have the choice of purchasing through my on-line shops or I will send you an invoice — usually by email. The invoice will include: the price of the flower(s); packaging; postage (including insurance and any additional shipping services you request.) The invoice will also indicate your payment options. All payments must be received in US$ without additional conversion or foreign collections charges incurred by me. Currently payment methods include:

  • Money Orders: Shipment 1-3 business days from receipt depending on my schedule (See Events)
  • Checks: Shipment may be delayed pending check clearing my bank. Any dishonored check subject to $25 handling fee PLUS any bank fees incurred even if check is resubmitted and subsequently honored. Dishonored checks may be subject to additional damages as provided under Oregon State Statutes.
  • Cash: Only for purchases made in person. Please, do NOT mail cash.
  • PayPal: Currently, I am able to invoice you with an option to pay by PayPal. If you do not have a PayPal account, you have the option of paying through PayPal using your credit card. Shipment within 1-3 business dates payment received in my account.
  • Credit Cards? YES! I can accept credit cards for purchases made in person, by phone/fax, or snail mail. For email orders, contact me for information. Please do not email your credit card information.

Once payment is received/cleared... your package heads your way!

Turnaround Time

Turnaround time varies according to the circumstances. If the item is in stock I usually ship within 1-3 business days once payment is received and clears. Custom orders take longer, depending on whether the materials are in stock or readily available; my current work load; if I'm exhibiting at a show, etc. I do my best to meet your needs so let me know if you are on a tight deadline. I always let you know up front what the projected time frame will be and keep you updated on progress or delays.

Mail Order Return Policy

Because we will spend some time determining your needs and desires, followed up with photos for your approval, we can both expect you will be pleased if not downright delighted with your flower. Returns accepted only for the following conditions:

  • Defect: I make every effort to assure the quality of the finished product, but if I missed something, contact me immediately.
  • Damage: Despite my best efforts to pack carefully, USPS or any other carrier periodically attempts to fold, spindle or otherwise mutilate their packages. Hence all shipments must be insured. Contact me immediately if package/contents arrive damaged. We will need photos of damage in order to process claim.

All returns must be pre-approved within 7 days of receipt, in new/unworn condition, in original packaging — or otherwise packaged carefully to prevent damage in return shipment. Exchange or refund in kind (eg, payments by credit card or PayPal credited back to your account) subject to condition of returned item. Shipping/handling charges not refundable.
